Hi, I’m Veronica, an independent curator, critic, and artist passionate about visual storytelling, inclusivity, and engagement. Coming from a working-class background, I focus on curatorial activism, using art spaces to challenge traditional power structures through decolonisation, representation, and participation. I hold an MA in Museum Studies from Birkbeck, University of London, and a BA in Graphic Design and Multimedia Production from the University of Granada, with a self-taught foundation in Fine Art and Art History. In early 2025, I was awarded a Fellowship by the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
My curatorial practice reimagines museums and galleries as spaces for critical dialogue, prioritising accessibility and collaboration. I develop socially engaged projects with a focus on social activism, with themes that are relevant to a societal level, that amplify diverse voices and rethink exhibition formats.
Alongside curation, I have returned to painting exploring the emotional and physical essence of the body: its moods, power, memories, and the weight it carries both socially and biologically. Through themes of womanhood, empowerment, trauma, and childhood, I challenge social norms while creating space for connection and shared vulnerability.
I have a professional background in creative industries, having worked in theatre, galleries, and arts administration. At the core of my work is a belief in art’s power to challenge perceptions and foster meaningful connections.
